- CMMI Executive
Overview
(1 day)
This course introduces executive management to the CMMI®, its
fundamental concepts, benefits, and appraisals. The course
consists of lecture with ample opportunities for participant
questions and discussion. After attending the course,
participants will be able to describe the benefits other
companies have achieved using the CMMI for process improvement.
- Introduction to
High Maturity Workshop
(1 day)
This workshop trains the organization on the SEI’s expectations
for the Maturity Level 4 and 5 Process Areas (OPP, QPM, OID, and
CAR) and compares and contrasts a low maturity approach to these
four Process Areas vs. the high maturity approach. After
attending the workshop, participants will be able to understand
the expectations for achieving a Maturity Level 4 or 5 rating
and the necessary evidence that must be provided in the PIIDs.
- Introduction to the CMMI
(3 days)
This course introduces systems and software engineering managers
and practitioners, appraisal team members, and engineering
process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI® fundamental
concepts. The course consists of lectures and class exercises
with ample opportunities for participant questions and
discussions. After attending the course, participants will be
able to describe the components of CMMI models and their
relationships, discuss the process areas in CMMI models, and

- CMMI for Acquisition Supplement
for Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2
(1 day)
This one-day course introduces acquisition
managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process
group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI® fundamental concepts
related to acquisition. The course consists of lectures and class
exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and
discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able
to describe the CMMI-ACQ model, discuss the model's process areas,

- PIID Preparation
(1 day)
This course teaches those responsible for providing the
appraisal evidence how to prepare a Process Implementation
Indicator Description (PIID). This course consists of lecture
and hands-on experience in preparing a PIID. Prerequisites for
attending this class are a working knowledge of the CMMI and an
in-depth knowledge of the organization’s processes.
- SCAMPI A Team
Training
(3 days)
This course trains the appraisal team members on the SCAMPI A
Appraisal Method including appraisal preparation, data review
and analysis, affirmations, practice characterizations, crafting
findings, assigning appraisal ratings, and reporting the
appraisal results.
- Appraising High
Maturity Organizations
(3 days)
This workshop helps appraisal team members understand the
expected behaviors of a High Maturity organization and how to
appropriately appraise an organization's processes and
procedures from a High Maturity perspective.

This workshop teaches participants to use a practical process to
identify measurement needs, define appropriate measures, and
specify reports and analysis techniques, supplemented by
guidance and practical examples from many organizations.

and activities involved in documenting requirements and managing
the changes to requirements.
